NEWLOCAL Inc. is a real estate development company headed by Ryo Ishida, whose shareholders include leading figures in urban development in Japan, including Hiroshi Suzuki (Professor at the University of Tokyo and Specially Appointed Professor at Keio University), Jin Tanaka (CEO of JINS Holdings Inc.), Hideaki Fukutake (Director of Benesse Holdings Inc.), Kumi Fujisawa (Chairman of the Institute for International Social and Economic Studies), Hima Furuta (CEO of umari Inc.), and Keiji Yamamoto (CEO of Interlocal Partners Inc.). The company's logo was designed by Koichi Kosugi of onehappy, and Tsutomu Yoshizaki of MiKS handled the website design for the launch.
