Scoop up the 'Why', Question 'Why'
MiKS, which means "Why?" in Estonian, aims to be a design studio that understands the local norms and common sense, while also questioning the essence of things.
When faced with a client's challenges, we discuss the "why" together and seek a better solution that is in line with the narrative. Together, we create designs that can be looked at with affection.
The word "local" here does not mean "regional," but rather "local." Our base is in Kanazawa.
Kanazawa and the surrounding Hokuriku region were not at the center of the accelerated postwar economic growth, but they are home to unique business practices, food culture, aesthetic sense, and customs that are unique to the region.
We are proud to be active in Kanazawa, a cultural city that continues to retain its individuality and unique character in the modern era, and we want to be a design studio that values that city's sensibility and aesthetic sense.
There are many different "local" aspects to the world. We offer designs that capture these sensibilities and aesthetic senses.
We at MiKS are a design studio based in Kanazawa that specializes in spatial production and concept visualization.
With the motto "Scoop up the 'Why', Question 'Why'", we offer concept creation, storytelling and visualization that get to the essence of things, and creativity that is not limited to the tangible or intangible.
We at MiKS (Mix) are affiliated with Linnas Design, a hospitality company that produces and designs communities around hotels, and we design places that start with the "things" aspect of the "things, events, and people" concept. We work as one team to develop hotel brands that maximize the appeal of the land and to create communities that serve as hubs for the region, aiming to be a presence that connects "people and things."
We think about what "local" means every day, and we are heading from Kanazawa to the whole country and the world.
