Kanazawa, where Hotel LINNAS Kanazawa is located, is a city that gets a lot of rain. The hotel used to store umbrellas left behind by guests because "they become a burden," and offer them as rental umbrellas. However, when the new initiative "Wagasa: The Circulating Umbrella Project" was launched, LINNAS was tasked with naming and visual design. In order to convey the message more easily and emotionally than before, rain and umbrellas were used as the main visuals, and the name "Wagasa" was chosen as a play on the word "loop umbrella" to refer to a circulating umbrella. After the project was launched, hotels in other prefectures expressed interest in using the service, so guidelines and regulations were created, and it has become a sustainable initiative promoted by LINNAS Kanazawa.
