The drama "Dull Color Chocolatville," starring Niigaki Risa, aired on MRO Hokuriku Broadcasting and TVer in 2022. This year, 2023, the film "Dull Color Chocolatville Biennale" was released in Kanazawa on October 6th, expanding its scope. We handled the overall art direction, including the visual design of the entire promotional section, including the logo, flyers, and photo visuals. Set against the backdrop of Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, boasting one of the highest chocolate consumption rates in Japan (ranked first in the nation according to a household survey), the film was planned as part of #CTK (Chocolate Town Kanazawa), a campaign to promote Kanazawa's chocolate culture. This fall, a city-wide chocolate-related event is planned. Kanazawa has a culture that has encouraged art since the time of the Maeda clan of the Kaga domain. The vibrant art is expressed against the dull sky reminiscent of the Sea of Japan, with a color scheme that seems to expand. The lead role is played by Ishikawa-born actress Noa Nakata (affiliated with Toho Entertainment), who delivers a fresh yet delicate performance.
