Nozawa Onsen Lodge, a distinctive egg-shaped roof lodging in Nozawa Onsen Village, Nagano Prefecture, was built in 1969 by architect Takamasa Yoshizaka, a disciple of the master Le Corbusier. The lodge is operated by Nozawa Onsen Kikaku Co., Ltd. as part of the Nozawa town development project. Located just a one-minute walk from the main gondola of Nozawa Onsen Village's signature ski resort, offering ski-in/ski-out access, the lodge's warm and welcoming atmosphere, created by owner Yao, creates new excitement as guests meet. The logo design was created by Koichi Kosugi of one happy, and MiKS handled the web navigation, composition, and photo visuals based on extensive writing, including the lodge's concept creation. The website not only provides information about the lodge, but also incorporates a section called "MEGURU" (Touring) that promotes Nozawa Onsen Village. Nozawa Onsen Kikaku Co., Ltd. has adopted "MEGURU" as the town development concept for Nozawa Onsen Village, promoting the village's appeal beyond winter skiing and hot springs. Nozawa Onsen Lodge is a base for enjoying Nozawa Onsen Village all year round.
