We were in charge of art direction for "S-TOKYO," a working community in Kodenmacho, Nihonbashi, which aims to connect digital nomads who live their daily lives freely across Japan and around the world. In collaboration with Linnas Design, which will participate in the operation of "S-TOKYO" from April 2023, we worked on everything from concept creation to key visuals and website production. The goal is for digital nomads, whose numbers are expected to continue increasing globally, to be a place where players from around the world can interact, inspire each other, and foster new forms of co-creation. The logo design was created by Kanazawa-born calligrapher Yuji Doi, who selected approximately 30 different calligraphy designs to create a Japanese atmosphere when workers from around the world gather at "S-TOKYO." The atmosphere of "S-TOKYO" will be cultivated as a place that embodies the question: Can Japan become a mecca for digital nomads? "S-TOKYO" is a community run by Okano Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a manufacturing company in Kitakyushu, and is part of the X-BORDER project, which aims for cross-border co-creation. The X-BORDER project as a place has formed a superordinate concept called "Valve Hub."
